Boys golf beats North Torrance
On Mon., March 20. the boys golf team beat North Torrance High School by a score of 198-226. They were lead by Brandon McDonough (’18) with 37 shots,Noah Ogata (’17) and Ben Modabber (’17) who both shot 39’s.According to Major Levin (’18), overall the team had a pretty good day. They seem to be progressing more with each match as they got ready to play one of their toughest opponents Mira Costa.“We are improving with each match that we play. But, there is still room for improvement. We’re moving in the right direction as we head to our matches next week with Mira Costa. Those two matches will probably decide who will win league title,” coach Bart Burdick said. The team competed in the Debell tournament in Burbank on Wed. March 21 and North Torrance again on Thurs. March 22, and won.“We are focused on the Debell Classic on Wednesday. It’s a big tournament for us and the course is very challenging because it’s narrow. Also with chance of rain we’ll need to be extra prepared,” Levin said.
