Boys lacrosse wins first home game in 2017 season

On Fri., Mar. 3, Samo boys lacrosse swept out an overwhelmed Redondo Union High School by a score of 19-6. Samo got the first goal, but Redondo tied it up a minute later. At the end of the first quarter, Samo led by a score of 4-2. However, this was the last time the scoreline was close. “Although we had a couple bad clearances,” Kyle Atwater (’18) said, “I thought that we overall played with a lot of fluidity.”After the first quarter, Samo showed an ease in the offense and defense. Barely halfway through the second quarter, Samo had built an eight point lead with a score of 10-2. Samo eased through the rest of the match to win 19-6.“We were winning 19-4 but coach gave a lot of meaningful playing time to the younger kids,” Jack Hall (’17) said. “Our goalie also came in clutch.”This win places Samo in a great place in league; they are currently undefeated and are accounting three wins.
