"A Quiet Place" Review
On Apr. 6, “A Quiet Place” was released in theaters with a box office of more than 92 million dollars. John Krasinski, most known for his role as Jim Halpert on the show “The Office (U.S),” directed the film, wrote the screenplay and starred in it alongside his wife, Emily Blunt. “A Quiet Place” is a horror movie with an excellent cast, making it perfect to watch with friends. Unlike a lot of other horror movies with monsters, “A Quiet Place” gives you good visuals of the monsters hunting the family with lots of details. Within the first ten minutes of the movie, it shows the viewers one of the monsters in action. From start to finish, the movie was suspenseful and shows the urgency of being quiet in this monster-ridden world. However, the movie did have its storyline flaws. The movie’s quote is “If they hear you, they hunt you,” so why is it that the mother and father decided to have a baby in a world where they can’t make any noise? Did they expect the baby to be quiet for its entire life? Were they planning on keeping it inside a box for at least the first five years of its life? Point is, they thought having a baby was no big deal. Turns out, that baby basically caused all of the unnecessary problems, along with the rebelling pre-teen daughter in the movie. However, the movie did capture that scary, suspense element and provided enough jumpscares. Weird storyline or not, it was a great film that captured the fear the family was feeling and made its audience want to be quiet too.
