Kinsman's agents take the golden crown again
On Sept. 22, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” came out as the latest work of the British film director Matthew Vaughn famously know for X-Men. The movie’s cast includes many famous American and British actors such as Taron Egerton as the protagonist, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Elton John and many others. Everything starts in the city of London where the spying agency Kingsman has its prestigiously old headquarters. However, after a series of events occur that force agents out of the area, Kingsman agency members travel to Kentucky in search of a strong ally, Statesman, to help fight their common enemy, Martha Stewart, who wants to destroy the world. The alliance between Statesman and Kingsman brings a fascinating cultural combo between the fraternal countries of the U.S. and the U.K. Additionally, Vaughn does a great job in emphasizing the stereotypes between the two countries throughout various scenes in the movie that range from aggressive fights to their distinct outfits: Kingsman agents wear more elegant suits and use highly technologically advanced weapons whereas Statesman agents have a rural cowboy type of look and use old methods such as whips to annihilate their rivals. In either case, it is amusing to see a difference that complements the characters rather than causing a potential problem between them. In addition, the movie’s long duration of 141 minutes isn't noticeable at any point of the movie, as the special effects brought by the endless action makes the spectator stare at the screen without having any sense of time. It is indubitable that the $104 million budget dedicated to the second part of the series was a wise investment in making a nice spin on the spy genre. “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” is definitely a must see movie.
