" The Sinner" review

Review: 4/4"The Sinner" is an absolutely amazing TV show. It is unpredictable and every episode reveals a clue towards the motive of a murder portrayed in the first episode. In season one, Cora Tannetti (Jessica Biel) erratically stabs a man to death while relaxing on the beach with her family over the 4th of July weekend. The following episodes unravel the reasons why she killed the man, displaying unknown and unimaginable truths about her younger life. "The Sinner" is one of the most unforeseeable TV shows out there; there is always a new angle and an epic twist.Unlike many regular TV shows, "The Sinner" is an anthology series, meaning there is not a continued story line and each season has a new set of characters and plot. Season Two begins when a young boy named Julian (Elisha Henig) poisons two people who are potentially his parents in a motel. Julian confesses to the murder and seems to be destined for imprisonment, but detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is adamant to prove his innocence. Discoveries about the sick secrets the town holds are brought to light as Ambrose tries to keep Julian out of jail and prior love or scandals are introduced. This brilliantly crafted show is the perfect balance of mystery, murder, romance and thrill. The only problem with this show is that it isn’t long enough! Each season has only eight hour-long episodes, always leaving viewers asking for more. Personally, it took me only a day to finish the season and I got my entire family hooked on the show, including my relatives who don’t even speak English. "The Sinner" is one of the greatest accomplishments by USA Network. The acting, cinematography and overall production are outstanding and engaging. Viewers are hopeful that the USA Network will make more seasons of the show due to the high demand and popularity. Although the second season just wrapped up on network TV, season one is on Netflix to binge. If you are like me and need to watch all of season two in the same sitting, you can use the USA Network app and get free trial episodes. This mysterious show is sure to mesmerize viewers, and keep them obsessed.
