School on Christmas

Announcement:
Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff members,
After months of intense deliberation, we are ready to share a finalized change to the 2021-2022 school schedule.
The two-week long winter break that is usually in place has always allowed students the day off for Christmas. Over the years, many parents and faculty members have complained about the lack of recognition of Hanukkah. As a proudly diverse, inclusive, open-minded, tolerant, and well, “woke” school, the school board has decided to give the Jews the spotlight.
Starting this year, winter break will commence on Monday, Nov. 29 (the first full day of Hanukkah). The vacation will still last the full two weeks it normally would, students will not have the day off for Christmas and the school will not be excusing any absences for observation of the holiday. Jesus can get his party next year.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out or leave a comment under this post.
COMMENTS:
Karen-- Absolutely disgraceful. Promoting this rhetoric to young children will bite you in the booty in the years to come.
Rabbi Greenbaum--Mazel!
Barbra--What in the Lord’s holy name is happening to this city?
Linda-- I’ve already scheduled Christmas plans in Maui? The tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE!! What do you expect me to do, throw my money away?!
Jace-- I don’t give a hoot about whatever Jewish holiday this is. Don’t they get, like, a million days off in September anyways?
Tema--How exciting!
Colline--I will not have my beautiful boy in school on Christmas. This is just another sick attempt to turn our children into Satan-worshipping troublemakers!
