21st Century Techies

We have all experienced “the technology talk” and the “back in the day” sob stories from our parents who never cease to remind us how deprived they were when they had to write a 10-page paper on the Remington with no more than an out-of-date encyclopedia, carbon paper and White-Out. The constant need to keep up with technology has even the Joneses out of breath.When one thinks of technology and its influence on our generation, the thought usually begins and ends with Apple Inc. Co-founded by CEO Steve Jobs in 1976, Apple Inc. is, in the words of the company, “leading the consumer technology world.” And they’re not kidding — Apple technology has become a cultural icon. Without the iPod and the iPod Touch, what would be our excuse to ignore our friends and loved ones? Without the iPad, what would Phil Dunphy from “Modern Family” have received for his birthday?People, Apple Inc. has taken over our social lives.
