NBA 2k17 Review

In terms of video game basketball, there is one game that exceeds all the others.That game is NBA 2K, which has just released their new, highly anticipated NBA 2K17. This game is the newest of many annual NBA 2K games and is without question one of the best. Updated team rosters is a huge reason of why the newest sports game is always promising. Getting to play with the top draft picks in the most recent NBA draft makes gameplay much more exciting. 2K17 displayed a new shot meter, making it now easier for beginners to play. It’s much bigger than the shot meters in the previous games, creating a higher chance of making baskets. In NBA 2K16, the shot meter was a tiny bar at the bottom of the player and I often had to interrupt the game to grab my spectacles. There are many superb gameplay modes in NBA 2K17, one of them being MyTeam. This is a gamemode where you can create your very own “dream team” by opening player packs and bidding on players on the 2K market. Once you have created your team, you can play against other people’s dream teams around the globe. 2K17 made it even easier to attain the best players in the NBA, so building a team as stacked as the 2017 Warriors won’t take much time.Another unique gameplay that NBA 2K17 offers is MyCareer, where you create your very own player and start its very own NBA journey. This gameplay lets you choose your character’s physical attributes, college, name, nickname and more. After finishing your avatar’s college season you are drafted into the pros, where you will attend team practices and follow through with endorsements.The only thing holding 2K17 back from an easy five-star rating is its in-game quick substitutions. This allows you to substitute players without having to pause the game or call a timeout. To this day I still cannot figure out how to make quick substitutions due to much confusion. Other than this minor issue, the brand new NBA 2K17 is a terrific sports video game and is being sold at a rapid pace. I recommend this to all types of gamers.
