Justice League movie review
Everybody at some point in their lives has gotten sick. I don’t mean sore throat, runny nose, upset stomach kinda stuff, I mean a 100 degree plus, disease ridden fever. You just get this sinking sick feeling that's so overwhelming with disgust that you can’t help but feel more queasy. That’s the feeling I got after coming out of DC’s latest film, “Justice League”. What was the main downfall of this movie? Well let’s see, was it the fact that the dialogue sounded like it was being spewed out by a legitimate child? No. Was it the fact that the villain was literally the most forgettable person to ever have existed? No. Maybe it could’ve been the fact that director Zack Snyder couldn’t make a good movie to save his life? But it’s not even that. The main downfall of this movie, would primarily be attributed to its horrid acting. Not a single cast member, from academy award winner Ben Affleck to supermodel Gal Gadot, stood out as anything more than a mediocre marvel knockoff. The whole cast seemed so wooden and stiff, giving off no heroic vibes while delivering one cheesy line after the next. However there was one actor that stood out as the worst of them all; Ezra Miller’s portrayal of the Flash. He’s the Flash, a character whose sole purpose is that he’s a well liked, powerful member of the Justice League who has always been the perfect comedic relief. So can somebody please explain to me why this whiny, pretentious, annoying kid is dressing up in a red leotard and claiming that he’s supposed to be him. I suppose he was trying to make his character a boy genius like figure, always being funny and witty in a time of crisis. Instead of instilling humor, it was more of a really dreaded cringe, and a complete impulse to just get a bat and smash this kid’s face in. Seriously, the Flash in this movie had two functioning roles in the team, either being saved or just doing some useless side work. He was a complete waste of screentime and should’ve been written out of the script. I could write a book on how atrocious this sack of garbage was, but honestly, even that would not have captured all the flaws. It’s such a waste of time and money, making me completely lose faith in the entire DC franchise. It genuinely makes me sad that movies like this can even get made and I really think whoever did give the ok for this thing to get made should be fired and publicly humiliated in the movie industry.
