My, how time flies! Yet another week has passed, and can you believe it’s already been 7 weeks since school started? Madonna had it all wrong: time does not go by so slowly, especially not when you’re out having fun. So, how are you going to have a good time this weekend? Keep reading to find out!Friday night it’s Homecoming at 7 p.m., so bring your school spirit, cheer on and don’t forget to Keep Calm and Beat Beverly! If football isn't your scene, go out and explore the art world. Go learn all about the newest form of art, graphic design and its short but momentous history at the Hammer Museum (10899 Wilshire Blvd). Bring your thinking caps and prepare to refuel them with inspirational colorful images, all for free! And for all you movie lovers out there, don’t miss out on the wonderful opportunity to see “The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari” on the big screen. The German silent horror movie, filmed in 1920, is one of the most influential films of German Expressionism, known for its funky abstract, painted sets. It’s playing at LACMA’s Bing Theater (5905 Wilshire Boulevard) at 7:30 p.m., and you can order your tickets (only $7) online.Saturday, if you’re a night owl, or perhaps simply love to dress up and are impatiently waiting for Halloween, let you inner freak flag fly and go watch “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Nuart Theatre (1272 Santa Monica Blvd). Be there at midnight and prepare to make lots of interesting friends while waiting in line. Otherwise, go watch another groundbreaking German Expressionist science-fiction silent movie, "Metropolis," at Bing Theater at 7:30 p.m.Finally, Sunday, start off the day the healthy way, and participate in the famous AIDS walk!
