Introducing the new House Principals: I-House

Florence Culpepper has assumed the role of I-House Principal, a position previously held by long-time House Principal Renee Semik.

According to Culpepper, the transition has been smooth and she already hopes to address the language of the students at Samo.

“I think that our student body is smart enough to use more appropriate vocabulary to express themselves,” Culpepper said.

Culpepper reports that she has been enjoying the campus, and she has already acquainted herself with all the I-House teachers.

“I really look forward to the way she wants to work with the teachers and the students,” DeLaCruz said.

As one of her new on campus duties, Culpepper has become a recurring voice on the morning announcements, promoting the new 4 B’s policy. She has hopeful vision of a more connected school where individual growth and success is promoted.

“I envision a school where 100% of the students who enter Samo as freshmen successfully progress through and finish in four years," Culpepper said. "The impact on earning potential is significant and its only the first step. I want all students to take advantage of our amazing educational offerings and the support provided by our faculty and staff.”
