Boys' water polo triumphs over Torrance

Adrianna DinolfoSports EditorBoys' water polo competed against Torrance on Oct. 21 in their fourth league game of the season. Prior to this game, the last two games that Samo played against Torrance had resulted in two very close and aggravating losses, one at an end-of-summer tournament, and one Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Torrance. Determined to win and redeem their name, Samo pulled off a victorious win of 8-3.The boys currently hold a 2-2 record in league, yet hope to improve their position. The victory against Torrance promotes team morale and hope for a better season."We played good defense, but our offense was a little slow at first. It felt good [to beat Torrance] since we had lost the first time," Sophomore Matthew Cianfrone said. "We just need to keep up the intensity and make big wins at home."adinolfo@thesamohi.com
