According to Arley Gomez (’19), the team is doing well and is excited for the swim team’s upcoming events in the next few weeks. “We are doing pretty well and last season was probably better by a bit,” Gomez said. “Personally I’ve been doing pretty well and getting better as the season goes on. And next I’m excited to see how our team performs at CIF’s.”With CIFs coming closer and league finals next Friday, May 5, the team has been swimming even harder than before. Sawyer Koetters (’19), speaks out about the future and what is coming up next for the Samo varsity swim team. “So far our varsity programs are undefeated which is an amazing feeling. Coming up in the next week is league competition which will finish off on Friday with league finals,” Koetters said. “We hope to win league again. Right now we are focusing on qualifying a good number of swimmers for CIF and maybe even a couple for the State meet later in May.”
